Hosting & server logs
This site (abn.is and its subdomains) is delivered through Cloudflare. When you load a page, your browser necessarily transmits technical data — IP address, requested URL, timestamp, referrer, and user-agent — which is processed transiently to deliver the page and protect the service against abuse.
We also utilize Cloudflare's built-in web analytics to measure site traffic. This service is strictly privacy-friendly: it sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track you across other sites.
The legal basis for processing this technical and analytical data is a legitimate interest in providing a secure, high-performing website and understanding its reach (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the USA; data transfers rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses and its Data Processing Addendum.

This site sets no advertising, tracking, or non-essential cookies. Nothing here profiles you.
Newsletter & RSS
The blog offers an RSS feed, which requires no personal data. If you choose to subscribe to email updates, your email address is securely processed and stored on our self-hosted backend infrastructure (Fly.io). Your email is used solely to send the content you have explicitly requested, on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link provided in every email.
Contacting me
If you email me, your message and address are processed only to handle your enquiry (Art. 6 (1)(b)/(f) GDPR) and kept no longer than needed to do so.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing of your personal data.
